Functional Behavior Assessment of Challenging Behavior in Schools

This course covers an overview of the FBA process with the following learning objectives:

• Understand what Functional Behavior Assessment is and why we use function-based assessment
• Myths, misnomers and concerns about Applied Behavior Analysis
• Know how to conduct functional behavior assessment using RIOT procedure
• Understand the three-term contingency for assessing behavior
• Know the different functions of behavior and the relationship to reinforcement
