Behavior Intervention Plans Matched to Function

This course covers an overview of the BIP process with the following learning objectives:

• Strategies for increasing appropriate/desirable behavior and decreasing problem behavior

• Prevention strategies aligned to function

• Understanding the difference between positive and negative reinforcement

• Identifying a functionally equivalent replacement behavior

• Response strategies for both reinforcing positive behavior and eliminating or reducing the functional relationship between reinforcement and problem behavior
